We sent out a survey recently to parents and carers; thank you for your feedback.

 

One of the main pieces of feedback is that we don't share curriculum timelines effectively with parents. These timelines are on our website but seem to be really hard to find.

What are we going to do about it?

 

1 - We are moving the link to subject area curriculum overview, so it is easier for parents to find

2 - We are providing a paper copy of the curriculum map for parents each September.

 

Another area parents/carers identified as something to improve is opportunities for home learning. Currently our Academy policy is not to set home learning and we do this to support families; many of our children see school and homelife as very separate. However, we agree that we can give opportunity to do home learning for our children and parents can pick this up as and when it works for their child. Home learning can be extremely enjoyable and creative. We will feed back more on this shortly.
