PROCLAIM award

PROCLAIM award for our work on attachment

Hollis Academy was delighted to be selected to work alongside Middlesbrough virtual schools this academic year on a project called PROCLAIM. The PROCLAIM project has been designed to improve how we work with young people facing challenges in education.

This short video explains a bit more:

So what does a PROCLAIM school look like? We understand the importance of relationships and invest time in building them with our children. Staff are expert in interpreting what behaviours are communicating so children become dysregulated less frequently. Ultimately the work we have done seeks to support children staying in education and remaining engaged by providing the anchor to a school that cares deeply about them.

This short video for parents explains in more detail:

Staff have worked incredibly hard this year on the project and have enjoyed sharing their experience with other schools. Don't worry - the good work does not stop here! We are going to develop our expertise further next year in year 2 of the project.

Please contact school if you have any questions about the project.
