Roald Dahl Story Day is an annual global celebration of Roald Dahl’s marvellous stories, characters and worlds from Matilda to Charlie and The Chocolate Factory. Schools across the country take part to celebrate Roald Dahl’s stories.
We celebrated Roald Dahl day with a full day of literacy-based activities. Pupils made disgusting milkshakes in food and explosions in science based on Georges marvellous medicine, created collage foxes based on Fantastic Mr.Fox, and created dream jars based on the BFG (so much more took place too!). Staff spent the day dressed up as their favourite characters to bring the event to life.
We also took the chance to think about UN Childrens Right - Right 23 "All children have the right to an education", and appreciated how lucky we all are to have free access to a good school.
