Vocational Education - exploring the world of nuclear power

 

In Vocational Education Year 8 & 9 students enjoyed being guests of EDF at their nuclear power station in Hartlepool. The visit involved a session on how electricity is generated there and a session on careers at EDF and the industry. This was followed by a visit inside the power station where students could stand at the door of the Reactor and see the turbines and generators in action! 

 

It was an amazing visit and thanks to EDF for giving us a great visit!
