Summer term means getting out on the river and trying something new - kayaking! We are lucky enough to have a qualified kayaking instructor on our staff and our own set of wetsuits. Every child gets the opportunity to experience kayaking at least once this term; please make sure that your return the water sports consent form to school so your child can join in.
Trying something new can be scary, especially when your child has SEMH needs. Trying kayaking is part of our Hollis 100 (link) because young people have to show resilience and courage to have a go.
Year 7 have already participated, and everyone managed to join in. Fingers crossed for some warm weather for other year groups!
