Starting a new school can be very exciting and also challenging. We will work hard to ensure we know you and your child well before the start of term so we can have a great start to Year 7. Letters regarding each event are sent to parents/carers and Primary schools.

14th March 2024 3.45-4.30pm Welcome event for parents and carers.
We invite parents and carers into school to find out more about the Academy and our curriculum, to meet key staff and have a school tour. We are proud of our Academy and keen to meet you!
25th April 3.30-4.30pm Welcome events for children and parents/carers
We invite all Year 6 students, accompanied by parents and carers, to attend our exciting induction event. This is the start of your child's journey with us, and we aim to make the session exciting with lots of interactive activities including cooking, art and PE. You and your child will meet their tutor and see their classrooms and start to mix with other young people in the same class.
Parents and carers will complete the starter pack and can order uniform at this event.
July 2024 - Transition school days (Tuesday 9th and Wednesday 10th July)
Children will attend Hollis Academy supported by their Primary school teaching assistant or staff member for 2 days.
The first day will be based in school and children will experience some lessons and break and lunch time.
The second day will be an induction into forest school, and we will have a trip out of school.
