The National School Breakfast Programme

The National School Breakfast Programme

Our school has joined the government’s National School Breakfast Programme (NSBP), which is being delivered by the charities Family Action and Magic Breakfast. As a NSBP School we are pleased to offer a healthy school breakfast, available to all, and enjoy the benefits that brings, with children settled and ready to learn at the start of the school day.

It is important to our young people to have a positive start to the day and we ensure this through an established routine of breakfast as a school and optional physical activity. Sharing breakfast together develops social skills and confidence in relationships with others; it is a friendship supporting activity. Toast, cereal and juice are on offer all year round, and hot chocolate and pancakes are added to the menu each Friday.

Students that cannot access the main school through anxiety are provided for in the PLC or Stanley class.
